~ H{ippity} Hop! ~

Yay, it's Monday and the start of half term break too! Bliss! Time to do some h{ippity} hopping as well. For today, I created a canvas as a birthday gift for my brother-in-law. I used 'Because of You' stamp set.

Here's my canvas: 

Stamped the 'love' background stamp on a piece of tissue paper and adhered to the canvas, which had already been sprayed with glimmer mist. Used a Heidi Swapp butterfly mask to create the outline and added a coupld of Cuttlebug butterfly diecuts to them.

I also created a card for my son's birthday. I combined two stamp sets from 'Life's Little Moments' and 'Just Wanted To Say'.

The number '7' has been highlighted although it's not so clear in the photo. (Card based on a sketch at 365 Cards).

~ H{ippity} Hop! ~

It's Monday and thankfully it's the last week of the term too! It's also time to h{ippity} hop as well. This week, I played with Life's Little Moments: 

I created 2 LOs to give to my parents. They are 4x6 and fits into an Ikea flipover frame (which I know my parent has). My dad is always asking for photos of his only grandsons! No doubt it is much easier to send them via email but nothing like scrapping them to give it a slightly more personal touch!

Both mini LOs created using Scarlet Lime Jan kit.

I've also created a card based on an {ippity} challenge which is to make a birthday card. I used stamp sets from Devoted, Just Wanted to say and Because of You.

Where did January go? It's February and it's Monday so time to do a little h{ippity} hop. Well, I did a LO using Life's Little Moments and Because of You: 

This LO was created based on a challenge on The Studio. It has to be symmetrical in design, altering alphabets and having fabric on the LO. I stamped a background stamp on two of the strips and used a quote. LO created using stash mainly from Scarlet Lime Jan10 main kit, with alpha and lace trimmings from my own stash.

I created this card based on the {ippity} challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to 'resolve' to try something new. Well, I've been seeing a lot of easel cards around and decided to have a go at it myself. Found the instructions on the net and it was really simple to create it. Here's my card:

Here's a card I created using the 'love' background image from 'Because Of You' set. Have to say, it's my fav set at the moment.

Patterned paper by Crate Paper Fall collection. Hot air balloon and sentiment from Unity's Dec KOTM set.

This card was also created for 365 Cards and it was based on a sketch challenge.

Having examined the images on this set, I knew I had to use it for a project I had in mind:

I created this canvas for my SIL and her partner and this particular set came in handy:

The canvas was sprayed with glimmer mist using a glimmer mist stencil. The background image was stamped on tissue paper and adhered to the canvas to give it some texture. Swirls were created using sticklers. As much as I like Prima's swirls, they are just far too costly. The lovebirds in the cage just sums up their relationship perfectly!
